Penetration Grade Bitumen01

Penetration Grade Bitumen

A paving binder classified by needle penetration at 25°C. Lower values indicate a harder binder and higher values a softer one; selection also depends on the specification, climate, traffic and mix design. For an enquiry, share the required penetration range, applicable standard and intended asphalt layer. Review the full test profile rather than choosing on the grade name or price alone.

Viscosity Grade Bitumen02

Viscosity Grade Bitumen

A paving binder classified by resistance to flow, primarily at 60°C, with additional testing at 135°C. The VG designation is not interchangeable with a penetration grade without checking the complete specification. Share the specified VG grade and the mixing and laying requirements in your project documents. Compare the complete test limits, packaging and delivery conditions when reviewing an offer.

Performance Grade Bitumen03

Performance Grade Bitumen

A binder selected for defined pavement design temperatures. Its laboratory profile considers the original binder and simulated ageing; climate, traffic, reliability and the project standard guide selection. The two temperature values identify the specified high- and low-temperature grade, not the air temperature on the delivery day. Send the required PG designation and project test requirements so the proposed binder can be reviewed against the same specification.

Oxidized Bitumen04

Oxidized Bitumen

Controlled air blowing generally raises the softening point and lowers penetration. This harder industrial binder is selected around service temperature, substrate and the finished-product specification. Check both softening point and penetration when comparing grades, alongside the intended manufacturing or installation process. For an enquiry, describe the finished application and any required handling or packaging conditions.

Cutback Bitumen05

Cutback Bitumen

Bitumen blended with petroleum solvent to reduce viscosity. RC, MC and SC identify rapid, medium and slow curing; the remaining binder develops as solvent evaporates. Confirm the grade, application and local handling requirements. Selection also depends on the approved work method and the conditions for curing at the job site. Include the specified curing family, viscosity grade and intended treatment in your enquiry; substitution with an emulsion requires a separate review.

Bitumen Emulsion06

Bitumen Emulsion

Fine bitumen droplets dispersed in water with an emulsifier. Charge, setting behaviour and aggregate compatibility determine the right product. Emulsion and recovered-binder tests must be considered separately. Tack coats, surface treatments and cold mixes can call for different emulsion grades even on the same project. Share the intended treatment, aggregate information and specified setting class, together with the required tests and storage arrangements.

Modified Bitumen07

Modified Bitumen

Modifiers adjust selected binder properties. The catalogue profiles cover polymer-modified paving binders described by PG grades. A PG designation alone does not prove modification; specify the polymer system and required tests. Rubber-modified and other systems can be reviewed separately. Review the requested performance profile together with evidence of the specified modification and compatibility with the mix design. Include the application, required grade and any ageing or deformation tests in the enquiry; a similar grade name is not enough to establish equivalence.
